A man is facing multiple assault charges after three people were hit with a vehicle in the Sutherland area early Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the 900 block of Central Avenue for a report of an assault in progress around 2:15am.

Information from witnesses stated a vehicle hit three people following a physical altercation.  Two victims were treated by paramedics for non-life threatening injuries, but a third man left the scene before police arrived.

A 19-year-old man is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon and dangerous driving. A second 19-year-old man in the vehicle is charged with breaching court-imposed conditions.
