About 15 minutes later police received a report of a stabbing outside a business in the 3200 block of 22nd Street West near the Confederation shopping district where a 42 year old man had been stabbed. Officers applied medical aid until paramedics arrived and he was taken to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
And then there were two stabbings in the 1700 block of 22nd Street West. The first around 8:30 a.m. when officers responded to St. Paul’s Hospital where a 46 year old man was receiving medical care for his injuries. And at 11:30 a.m. in the same area a 25 year old man was stabbed and transported to hospital for further medical care.
While on the way to the call officers were given a suspect description and were able to locate and arrest a 23-year-old man about a block away. He is charged with aggravated assault and appears in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday.
