A 27-year-old woman has been charged after police responded to an assault call around 10:30 last night at a home in the 3000 block of Laurier Drive.

A 24-year-old woman at the home reported being assaulted with a knife at a residence in the 800 block of Confederation Drive.

She ran away and managed to get help at the second location. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers located a suspect shortly after and she is charged with one count of assault.
