Two people are on the loose following an early Monday morning vehicle theft in the south end of Saskatoon.
In a news release, the Saskatoon Police Service said that at about 2:40 a.m. on February 2nd, officers were dispatched to a convenience store in the 2400 block of Preston Avenue South. A 65-year-old man was removed from his 2003 Dodge Caravan and assaulted by an unknown woman assailant. The woman and a second suspect fled in the vehicle that was later found abandoned after colliding with a light standard at the intersection of Spadina Crescent and Queen Street. A canine track of the area was not successful. The female assailant is described as being heavy-set, with long dark hair and wearing a red coat while there was no description available for the second suspect. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the S-P-S or Crime Stoppers.
