It’s my Parting Shot for The Fearless Predictor’s N-F-L playoffs bracket winners – right through to who wins Super Bowl LX…..
Notorious Pittsburgh Steelers’ fan and CJWW morning show host Ben Brooks won the grand prize in the Lazaruk Football League, also known as the Saskatoon Media Group’s in-house confidence predictions pool. No, I didn’t come close, but I did win the final week’s cash!
Now, Ben wants to try for a double as we may, or may not, have an in-house S-M-G bracket predictions pool. Regardless of whether we do or not, here’s how I see things going down!
This weekend’s wild-card games will go this way – the L-A Rams over Carolina by more than 10 points, Green Bay wins in Chicago by more than a field goal and Philadelphia prevails by less than a field goal over San Francisco in the N-F-C. The A-F-C wild card games will see Buffalo rise up and win in Jacksonville by more than a field goal, New England will crush the L-A Chargers by almost two touchdowns and I’m going with Pittsburgh to win over Houston by less than a field goal on Monday Night!
Should my bracket not be busted after that, I like the Rams to slip past Seattle, as I’m waiting for Sam Darnold to pull the same ‘el foldo that he did in last year’s playoffs with my Minnesota Vikings, and I’ve got the Eagles knocking off the Packers. The A-F-C Division round games will have the Bills top Denver and New England get the better of Pittsburgh, ending the Steelers’ dream of Aaron Rodgers turning back the clock and winning one last Vince Lombardi Trophy!
From there, I’ve got the L-A Rams winning the N-F-C title over Philadelphia and Buffalo rising up to take the A-F-C crown over the East Division-rival Patriots!
That brings me to Super Bowl 60 in Santa Clara, California – home of the 49ers – where Josh Allen and the Bills finally break through and win a Super Bowl for western New York state, by beating the Rams in a battle of two of the best offences in the N-F-L!
That’ll probably a five dollar donation to our pool, if we end up doing it!!
That’s my Parting Shot. I’m Les Lazaruk…and it turned out nice again!
