A 35-year-old man from Montreal Lake has died following a vehicle-pedestrian collision near Montreal Lake Cree Nation. 

On Sunday, at 8:00 p.m., RCMP were told an S.U.V. had struck a pedestrian on Highway 969. 

The male pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene by EMS. The adult female driver of the S.U.V. remained at the scene without any reported injuries. RCMP say impairment is not believed to be a factor. 

The investigation continues.
