According to GasBuddy.com, average retail gasoline prices in Saskatoon have fallen 3.7 c/L in the past week, averaging 118.81 c/L Sunday. GasBuddy conducts a daily survey of 81 gas outlets in Saskatoon. This compares with the national average that has fallen 2.9 c/L in the last week to 127.19 c/L.
Including the change in gas prices in Saskatoon during the past week, prices yesterday were 23.5 c/L lower than the same day one year ago and are 7.5 c/L lower than a month ago.
Comparatively in Regina regular unleaded is priced at 126.62 c/L down only 0.2 c/L from last week.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy says nearly every province saw a drop in prices. He said the most significant declines were seen in Manitoba and British Columbia with both seeing average prices fall by more than 7 cents per litre. He predicts that with oil prices remaining relatively stable and demand continuing to ease seasonally, prices could remain under slight downward pressure heading into the holidays.
