It’s my Parting Shot for T-F-P’s look at Week 13 of the N-F-L, specifically slam-dunk picks and not-so-certain prognostications…..
I had a good week in the Saskatoon Media Group “confidence predictions pool” – see there is a real name for it – but I didn’t win. I only had three of 14 games picked incorrectly, but two of my misses were for a significant amount of points!
Oh well!!
My slam-dunk predictions all came in correct – Green Bay winning at home over my hapless Minnesota Vikings, the L-A Rams dismantling visiting Tampa Bay and Jacksonville winning in Arizona – although the Jaguars were somewhat fortunate to come through in overtime!
The only not-so-certain selection I was wrong on was New Orleans winning at home over Atlanta. Otherwise, my hunches that Chicago would win at home over Pittsburgh and Seattle would prevail in Tennessee came through!!
On to this week and my slam-dunk are all on Sunday. I’ve got Miami at home to waffle the New Orleans ‘Aints, my Minnesota Vikings will be road kill for the Seahawks to feast on in Seattle and Atlanta will run away from the Jets in the Meadowlands!
I’m not-so-certain that the Steelers might be able to beat the confounding Buffalo Bills in Pittsburgh, that Indianapolis will be able to bounce back and score enough points against the stout Houston defence to beat the visiting Texans and, by, the time you read or hear this, the decision on today’s first game will be done! Hopefully, Detroit is able to subdue Green Bay!!
What about how my picks work against the betting line? I don’t believe in making picks based on points spreads – that’s for you hard-core handicappers to lose your fortunes over!!
That’s my Parting Shot. I’m Les Lazaruk…and it turned out nice again!
