The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded to the 200 block of 23rd Street East after a teen reported an attempted armed robbery.
This was around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday when a 17 year old male said an unkown man approached, showed a knife and demanded his jacket.
The teen was able to walk away and call police and wasn’t physically harmed.
Officers located a suspect nearby and say he had a 12-inch knife hidden in his sleeve as well as another knife in his backpack.
A 20-year-old Saskatoon man is now facing charges of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace and Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Breach of Probation.
