The Saskatoon Police Service Serious Assault Unit is investigating a break, enter and serious assault that took place in the city’s Sutherland neighbourhood.
Around 11:00 p.m. Saturday police were called to a home in the 15-hundred block of Rayner Avenue. They located a 32-year-old man with extensive injuries who was transported to hospital.
The investigation indicates several armed men wearing masks entered the home and assaulted the man living there.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, Saskatoon Police responded to an injured person call in the city’s Evergreen neighbourhood shortly before 5:30 a.m. Saturday and found an injured 24-year-old man.
He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening-injuries. Officers learned two men had been in a fight. A 22 year old man was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.
