The Prince Albert Police Service says it has arrested one man in connection to three robberies in Prince Albert Sunday.
Around 11:30 a.m. officers responded to a robbery in progress at a business in the 600 block of 15th Avenue East. When police arrived, the suspect had fled the scene, but staff reported that he confronted them with a knife and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. No one was injured but they did get a description of the suspect.
While at the first call officers were dispatched to another business across the street reporting a robbery where police say a male with the same description brandished a knife and demanded money. He fled the scene without money or merchandise, and police determined this robbery took place before the first call for service.
At 8:55 p.m. officer responded to a robbery in progress at a business in the 800 block of 5th Street East. The suspect matched previous descriptions given earlier in the day and while staff was threatened with a knife, after confronting the would-be-robber, he fled in a dark coloured vehicle.
On Monday, police located a suspect vehicle travelling westbound on River Street East and arrested the male driver.
