Tumultuous might describe recent weather in Saskatchewan and Since July 29 in Saskatchewan SGI reports there have been 12 property wind claims, 14 property hail claims, 17 auto wind claims and 33 auto hail claims.
The property claim numbers apply only to SGI CANADA customers in Saskatchewan, and not customers who may have policies with other insurers.
There is another severe thunderstorm watch in effect for much of west central Saskatchewan including Saskatoon and Prince Albert. Environment Canada says thunderstorms will move into central Saskatchewan from Alberta today as a low pressure system develops and travels east and some of these thunderstorms may be severe.
ECCC says these thunderstorms are expected to persist and travel eastward through Saskatchewan through the day and into the overnight periods before moving into Manitoba.
