Saskatoon Police received a report of a kidnapping taking place on July 24, 2025, involving a male victim who, while with his kidnappers, contacted his father letting him know he was being held against his will inside a vehicle by multiple people, who were demanding a large sum of money.

Saskatoon Police located the victim and another person exiting the vehicle and walk towards a residence in the 900 block of Weldon Avenue in the King George neighbourhood. Police intervened and were able to get the victim to safety and arrested the suspect. Four other suspects were in the vehicle and arrested as well.

Four men, age 21, 24, 29, and 38, and a 29-year-old woman have been charged with kidnapping with intent to hold for ransom.
