Members of the Guns and Gangs Unit arrested a man known to be wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching a Community Supervision Order from a previous manslaughter conviction. On July 23, 2025, around 2:30 p.m., officers were able to stop the man who was riding a bike and arrested him without incident. During the arrest, officers found 15 grams of cocaine, 29 grams of methamphetamine, 13 grams of fentanyl, a loaded modified .22 firearm, and assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Additionally, the 19-year-old man was charged with unlawful carry of a prohibited weapon, possession of a firearm without a license, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm without a license, possession of a firearm with the serial number removed, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon while prohibited, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
The following day, Saskatoon police were called to a business in the 700 block of 20th Street West for a report of an assault-in-progress shortly before 10:00 p.m. on July 24, 2025. Four males entered the business which led to a verbal and physical altercation with an employee. The suspects then discharged bear spray, stole merchandise belonging to the business, and fled. The victim was not seriously injured, and police are continuing to investigate.
Shortly after, Saskatoon Police responded to a report of a robbery in the 100 block of Roborecki Crescent in the Silverwood area, around 11:45 a.m. on July 24, 2025. When officers arrived, a woman told police she was in her front yard when a man and a women pulled their vehicle over in front of her house and approached her, taking the jewelry, she was wearing, then fleeing in a black SUV with an Alberta license plate.

In addition to those incidents, an investigation is ongoing by Saskatoon Police after a man was sitting on a bench in the 1100 block of 20th Street West and was stabbed from behind. Police initially responded to an unknown matter at 4:00 a.m. on July 25, 2025, to a residence in the 300 block of Avenue J South where they found the man suffering from two stab wounds. He was transported to hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, and it is unknown how many suspects are involved or if they are known to the victim.
