Meadow Lake RCMP are investigating a shooting at Waterhen Lake First Nation and are now asking the public to report two men who are wanted in connection to the incident.
On Sunday around 2 a.m. RCMP say there was an altercation between a group of people when a gun was discharged, and one man was injured. He was treated for injuries described as non-life threatening.
Warrants have been issued for the arrest of 27-year-old Christopher Ernest from Waterhen Lake First Nation and 23-year-old Brandon McCallum from Canoe Lake Cree First Nation. Both are facing weapons charges.
Christopher Ernest is described as approximately 6′ tall and 165 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. Brandon McCallum is described as approximately 6′ tall and 220 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of writing and a feather on his left hand, as well as a skull and a knife on his left arm.
