Prince Albert RCMP are investigating an armed robbery on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation on Sunday afternoon.
Officers were called around 4pm after a report that two men stolen an SUV from the driver. One man was laying on the Sturgeon Lake Road. When the driver stopped, a second man exited a nearby bush area with a firearm pointed at the driver. The pair stole the SUV, and the driver was not injured.
About an hour later, the stolen SUV was found at a residence on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation. A man and a woman at the home were arrested on outstanding warrants but RCMP are continuing for the two men involved in the armed robbery.
RCMP say when you come across what you think could be a staged incident, do not stop or exit the vehicle. Keeping driving and then call RCMP or police. Use 911 in the case of an emergency.
