Saskatoon Police say around 8:45 on Thursday morning they responded to an injured person report. A male victim was located suffering from various injuries in the 100 block of Avenue P North.
It was learned that an unknown man approached him, pulled him to the ground, bit him, and struck him several times with a hammer. The suspect then fled the area.
Members of the Serious Assault Unit and Patrol are continuing to investigate.
