One thing was expected and one thing wasn’t Monday as the Saskatchewan Roughriders went through Day 1 preparation for Friday’s first regular-season game against Toronto.
The unexpected…G-M and head coach Chris Jones didn’t name a starting quarterback between Zach Collaros and Brandon Bridge. You’ll hear from Collaros on Inside the Huddle following this sportscast. What was expected was roster moves. The Green and White released import running back Zac Stacy because he didn’t want to be on the practice roster. The Riders added import linebacker Carl Bradford and Canadian receiver Mitchell Picton to the practice list. Picton had been released as part of yesterday’s initial roster shuffle to get down to 46 players. The Roughriders also added non-counting, non-territorial junior players Carson Bell and Chad Teskey from the Regina Thunder. Both are offensive linemen. Following is the news release from the Riders…
