A 16-year-old and a 13-year-old boy face charges following a bear spray incident at Midtown Plaza late Monday afternoon.

Police say the bear spray was discharged near an entrance. The pair were arrested later in the 1000 block of 20th Street with the assistance of a member of the Canine Unit. The officer recognized the pair based on eyewitness descriptions.

The youths have been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, assault and mischief. The 16-year-old was also in violation of court ordered conditions.
