The “Garden Patch” is where hundreds of people in the community get together to grow fresh produce for Emergency Food Baskets. Cargill is providing 50-thousand-dollars for the Food Bank’s Urban Agriculture Program’s Garden Patch. 42 teams are registered this year for the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre Adopt-a-Plots.
The Food Bank has enjoyed, in addition to today’s donation, an ongoing partnership with Cargill with more than 2-hundred-75 thousand dollars in financial support. This marks the second week kick-off for Adopt-A-Plot planting – or the Garden Patch.
