Arrest made in armed robbery in southern Saskatchewan

Indian Head RCMP say officers responded to an armed robbery on Saturday at 6:23 p.m. where a lone male entered the business carrying an edged weapon in the 200 block of Main Street in McLean.

The man took money from the cash register and fled in a vehicle.

File Hills Police Service located a suspect vehicle on a grid road and the driver was taken into custody.

Fifty-three-year-old Shahn Hunter of Regina is in Fort Qu’Appelle Provincial Court today charged with robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon, drive while prohibited.
