RCMP were called to the scene of a single vehicle rollover at approximately 4:40pm on Sunday at an unspecified location on Highway 797.

Onion Lake RCMP report a 45-year-old woman from the Island Lake First Nation was declared dead by paramedics. A man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The rollover is under investigation with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.
