A 43-year-old man from Balgonie is facing seven charges following a report of a serious assault at a residence on Maple Street.

Officers arrived at 9:20 p.m. on May 17th to find a woman and young female both assaulted. The woman was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious in nature, and the girl was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Officers located a man at the residence and arrested him. During his arrest he assaulted two officers, however neither reported serious injuries.

He was scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court today.
