The Prince Albert Raiders announced today that they have signed 2009-born forward Ben Harvey to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Harvey was drafted fourth overall in the recent WHL Prospects Draft after the Raiders traded up to take the talented forward.
Harvey, born in Edmonton, AB, and played for the Northern Albert Xtreme U15 Prep team this past season, was a threat from everywhere on the ice, scoring 19 goals and adding 33 assists in 27 games. Harvey & his Xtreme teammates capped a memorable year by winning the Western Championship with a 6-5 overtime win over the Edge School U15 Prep team.
“Ben is an elite thinker and a complete 200-foot player. He played in every situation and was the first player sent over the boards in many situations by his coaches,” said Raiders General Manager Curtis Hunt. “We are extremely happy to have Ben and his family join our Raider Family.”
Harvey is the second member of the Raiders 2024 draft class to sign with the team, following the signing of a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement by 2nd overall selection Brock Cripps last week.
