There are currently 16 wildfires burning in Saskatchewan, up 3 from yesterday.
Five of them are contained, five are under ongoing assessment, two where the focus is to protect property, and the remaining four are not contained.
The majority of the fires are near La Ronge.
There have been 154 fires so far this year, and 61 is the 5-year average.
There is also a special air quality statement for the southernmost quarter of the province. This includes the City of Regina, as well as anything south of that. It also covered Macklin, Wilkie, Biggar and Kindersley.
