Two Saskatoon men were arrested early yesterday morning following a car chase with police.
At 2:00 a.m., members of patrol attempted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in the 200 Block of Thomas Crescent. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed before its occupants abandoned it a short distance later.
Both occupants were detained, and one of the suspects was found to be carrying bear spray. Upon further investigation, officers learned the vehicle was stolen and located a firearm inside, as well as over 1000 rounds of ammunition.
As a result, a 30-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were arrested and face numerous firearms charges and charges connected to possession of stolen property over $5000. The 30-year-old was also charged with possession of Fentanyl.
