Working with Saskatchewan suppliers and service providers can be a win-win situation.
That was one of the messages from the Vice President of Operations for Potash at Nutrien to the NSBA mining week breakfast in Saskatoon.
Larry Long says getting supplies quickly from Regina and Saskatoon is a huge advantage for the newly merged company and feels there is the opportunity for more provincial partnerships.
He says sales are strong despite a low commodity price that is increasing slowly and adds the company is forecasting increased demand around the world as well as additional opportunities with the expectation of mine closures in other countries.
Long says there have been some hiccups while bringing Potash Corp and Agrium together but Nutrien has the right people in place to work through them.
