A 16-year-old boy from Prince Albert has been arrested and faces several weapons and sexual assault related charges.
On Tuesday, PA Police received a report about a 14-year-old girl being sexually assaulted by a 16-year-old boy. The boy in question was in the community on a Release Order with conditions to stay at a certain residence in P.A., abide by a curfew, and to not possess ammunition or firearms. A warrant for his arrest was requested on Thursday.
On that same day, a home in the community was checked in an attempt to arrest the boy. While at the home, police discovered that he was not adhering to his previously imposed court ordered conditions. A warrant for his arrest was requested, yet again.
Then today, at 4:48am, police were called to the 300 block of 12th Street East for the report of a male breaking into vehicles. As police arrived, they saw that the male was carrying a firearm. He fled, dropping the sawed-off shotgun, as well as 14 rounds of ammunition. He was arrested a short time later in the 500 block of 10th Street East.
The boy made his first court appearance today.
