Highway Hotline says travel is not recommended on Highway 1 between Morse and Mortlach, as well as between Belle Plain and Regina.
Moose Jaw RCMP were on the scene this morning on the TransCanada #1 Highway about 7km west of Parkbeg, where weather conditions were preventing several tractor trailer units from being able to climb the hill. Westbound lanes are closed, and police are redirecting westbound traffic. The eastbound lanes are down to one lane. Motorists are asked to avoid this area until sanding crews attend.

In addition, there is an emergency scene (pictured) just east of Wynyard on Highway 16. Drivers, who are backed up to allow for slow and safe passing of the scene, are reporting icy conditions. A semi-trailer appears to be partially in the north ditch.
