The Saskatchewan Teachers Federation gave notice on Friday that teachers won’t be helping with any extracurricular activities Monday through Wednesday province wide.
There will also be a withdrawal of noon hour supervision on Monday at the Creighton, Holy Trinity Catholic, Horizon, Lloydminster Public and Catholic, Northwest, Prairie South, Prairie Valley, Saskatchewan Rivers and Prince Albert Catholic School Divisions.
The STF says in a news release that although teachers often provide lunch break supervision, it is voluntary.
Student supervision is the responsibility of the school division and supervisors and not required to be teachers.
