After head coach Manny Viveiros left W-H-L-champion Swift Current to become an assistant coach with the N-H-L’s Edmonton Oilers last week, the Broncos learned Monday that star forward Aleksi Heponiemi won’t return for his 19-year-old season.

Heponiemi signed a two-year pro contract with a team in his native Finland.

In addition, the Edmonton Oil Kings have fired head coach Steve Hamilton and assistant coach Ryan Marsh while G-M Randy Hansch is leaving the organization to become an amateur scout with an, as yet named, N-H-L team.
