In this morning’s (Thurs) Question Period, Official Opposition Leader Carla Beck grilled the Premier about leaked government memos which reveals critical care bypasses in four cities, and hospitals in a fifth facing capacity pressures so bad that patient care is being put at risk. Beck says, “Saskatchewan people are entitled to the care they need at the hospital of their choice.”

The first leaked memo states that as of Wednesday, critical care in Saskatoon, Yorkton and Moose Jaw continued to be on bypass and critical care in North Battleford was put on bypass. The second leaked memo reveals Regina’s emergency departments faced “immediate capacity challenges and risk to safe patient care.”
