The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) says seven months have passed since the death of Aaron Gamble.
The FSIN is backing up police requests for information on his death and says the Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section investigators know the key to solving Aaron’s death is out there and that members of the community hold those answers. The FSIN is asking anyone with information to ‘break the silence’ and come forward.
On March 24, 2023, 54-year-old Aaron Gamble of Beardys and Okemasis First Nation was found deceased in the 2300 block of 17th Street West in Saskatoon. The FSIN says when Gamble was found, it was apparent that his body had been moved to conceal the crime. Police have described his death as suspicious. Aaron Gamble’s body was found inside a dumpster.
Aaron’s sister Emilia says “he was kind-hearted, well-spoken, and educated. Aaron was a happy, always smiling person who liked to greet people and laugh. Aaron was a huge music fan, anything but country, and he loved to read Ann Rice novels and write short stories, he was articulate and enjoyed gaming and movies. He always encouraged his family to continue with their education and would speak of how important education was. Aaron obtained a Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan and was a teacher for many years. Aaron has two adult daughters, stepchildren, and many grandchildren; they were the center of his universe.”
