SaskTIP to solve the “Crime of the Month.” The August Crime of the Month is Wasting Northern Pike. On July 12, Loon Lake conservation officers received a report that two northern pike had been left to waste in a disposal bin at the Summer RV Resort on Ministikwan Lake, west of Loon Lake. Officers found that only parts of the tail fillets had been removed, leaving the rest of the edible meat to waste. It is unlawful to waste any edible meat from a fish that is fit for human consumption.
