Regina woman charged for waving machete outside Legislative Building

A 36-year-old Regina woman is facing charges after police responded to the report of a woman waving a machete outside the Legislative Building. On Friday at 10:00 p.m., police responded to the 2400 block of Legislative Drive for a report of a woman outside the Legislative Building waving the machete at passing vehicles. Upon arrival, police say they located the woman and arrested her without incident. The machete was concealed in her waistband at the time of arrested. Crystal Gail Taypotat is charged with Possession of Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace, Carry Concealed Weapon, and Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order. She will be in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on December 7th at 9:30am.
