Forty-one-year-old Scott Grandel from Regina will be in court on Monday on several charges he received on Friday.
At 1:40 p.m on Friday, police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Robinson Street for a report of a break and enter to a residence.
Police say they received information that a man was inside the residence stealing items.
A witness reported he confronted the man, who then chased the witness while holding a pipe. Police say the witness was uninjured.
Upon arrival, police say they spotted a man running away from the home, and he was arrested a short distance away without incident.
Grandel is now charged with Break & Enter, Assault with a Weapon, and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order.
