The Government of Saskatchewan says it will invest more than 1.45 million dollars to improve the airport at Pelican Narrows.

The project was initially announced in the 2023 provincial budget. It saw Warman Construction begin work on improvements in June and the project is on track to be complete on time which was by the end of September.

The Ministry of Highways owns and operates 16 northern airports. Air travel in the north supports economic development, access to medical facilities, brings courtrooms to the north and facilitates air transfer of patients to and from medical services.
