The NDP is pushing for a judicial inquiry into the land deal to form the Global Transportation Hub west of Regina. Opposition leader Ryan Meili says there have been several shady deals and a cloud of scandal over the GTH. Justice minister Don Morgan says the auditor reviewed the deal and found no red flags but it has been investigated by the RCMP and turned over to Manitoba. Morgan says the GTH has become an economic engine, creating 18 hundred jobs at the start of construction, $485 million in private investment, 860 full-time permanent jobs and 4,800 trucks in and out of the GTH every week.
