It’s my Parting Shot for The Fearless Predictor and Week 16 C-F-L picks…..
While the Riders let most of you down last week, I was let down by Winnipeg. Luckily, B-C and Toronto rallied or my 3-1 week could’ve been 1-3!!
Let’s go and start with Friday Night Football and Saskatchewan visiting Ottawa to start. The Roughriders are sliding now, their defence is in tatters and giving up lots of real estate along the ground. The RedBlacks have a good ground game and a running back in Dustin Crum, elusive like Tre Ford of Edmonton last week. Ottawa is due to break their seven-game losing streak and will do so tonight by more than two touchdowns over the Green and White!
Tonight’s later game is B-C at Edmonton. The Lions won the two previous meetings with the Elks, both by shutout – but before Tre Ford took over at quarterback, leading Edmonton to four wins in their last five games. B-C can move into a tie for first place in the West with Winnipeg! It’s the Game-of-the-Week and toss a coin – mine says the Lions by less than a field goal!
Tomorrow’s first game is Montreal at Calgary, two teams needing to right their respective ships! The Alouettes have lost four-in-a-row and have company in the name of Hamilton for second place in the East. The Stampeders have Edmonton alongside of them with neither the Stamps or Elks in a playoff spot. I’m going with Montreal by less than a field goal!
That leaves the Tiger-Cats at Toronto Saturday evening. Hamilton has looked real good in winning their last two games. The Argos have won five straight and don’t appear to be slowing down. I’m going with Toronto by less than a touchdown!
Last week’s 3-1 gets me to 38-21 for the season – or 64-point-four per cent! I want that two right for every three games average at least!!
That’s my Parting Shot. I’m Les Lazaruk…and it turned out nice again!…..
