Two people have been released without charges after the report of a man being threatened in Saskatoon’s Mayfair neighborhood.
At 9:40pm on Saturday, police were called to a home in the 1300 block of Aveunue G by a man that said he was being threatened by another man, and that a firearm may be present. Upon arrival, police say they found another man outside with what looked like a sawed-off firearm. He was taken into custody. Officers took a second male into custody with the help of Tactical Support Members, but they were unable to find a firearm inside the home.
Police say it was discovered that the firearm possessed by the man outside the residence was an imitation. Both suspects, ages 49 and 16, were released without charges.
