A second public engagement session will be held this evening to gather input on several proposed ward boundary changes in Saskatoon.
In 2022, City Administration determined that Wards 2 and 7 were outside of the allowable 10 per cent population variance threshold. This triggered the Municipal Wards Commision to initiate a ward boundary review.
The commission is now presenting the public with two options. Option A includes relocating Confederation Urban Centre from Ward 3 to Ward 2 and moving Nutana Park from Ward 7 to Ward 9.
Option B proposes that Hudson Bay Park is moved from wards 1 to 2, Downtown transfers from wards 6 to 1, and Nutana Park is moved from wards 7 to 6.
The meeting is held in Commitee Room E at City Hall from 7:30pm-9:00pm. Feedback can also be provided online, through email, or by letter.
