The investigation of the fire at the Bessborough Hotel on Thursday has concluded that a door was breached to the storage room behind the hotel prior to the Saskatoon Fire Department arriving. The fire originated and was contained to the storage room. It has been deemed suspicious and the damage estimate is $20,000. The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating.

Just before 7 in the morning on Thursday, the Fire Department received a report of a smoke smell behind the hotel. Access to the storage room was gained and the fire was quickly brought under control.
