The Meadow Lake and Prince Albert regions look different than many other parts of the province.
Data from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) show Meadow Lake had 280 millimetres or 11 inches of rain during the months of June/July/August. The summer was the 14th wettest in 67 years with 137 per cent of normal precipitation.
Prince Albert was just slightly above normal with 214 millimetres—thanks to a series of summer thunderstorms.
Everywhere else—summer precipitation was well below normal.

It was a warmer summer than normal, due mainly to a hot June.
