Saskatoon Police say the victim of Saskatoon’s eighth homicide of the year is 33-year-old Melissa Bear. At 10:20 p.m. Wednesday night, patrol officers responded to a home in the 1100 block of St. Paul’s Place in the Mount Royal neighbourhood. Police had been told there appeared to be an injured woman inside a home. Melissa Bear was transported to hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries a short time later.
Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section are investigating and are asking for anyone with information about this homicide to contact the Police Service at 306-975-8300 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
