A space-themed exhibit, interactive games and quizzes, and a disorientation wheel are things to see and experience at the Diefenbaker Canada Centre’s Family Fun Day, happening tomorrow (Sat) from 12:00-4:00pm. The DCC’s curatorial, collections, and exhibits manager, Helanna Guessner, says there are activities to occupy all ages, that all have to do with the challenges astronauts face while maintaining proper health.
The exhibit, titled Health in Space, explores how radiation, gravity, and isolation all pose unique health risks. It also displays how the research on those factors can improve healthcare on Earth, as well. Health in Space was developed by the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency and is open through the summer until September 10th.
