A 48-year-old Saskatoon man was arrested Wednesday after he was seen waving a knife around while intoxicated.
At 6:00 p.m., police were called to the 100 block of Avenue C North for a report of a suspicious person armed with a knife. As officers arrived, police say they spotted the man on the sidewalk, weapon in hand. He did not comply with the commands of an officer and instead threw the knife with force onto the pavement. After a brief struggle, he was arrested.
As a result, he has been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace and resisting arrest.
