The Saskatchewan NDP have named a new candidate in Cumberland for the upcoming provincial election.
Jordan McPhail was nominated Saturday afternoon, and he is succeeding the retiring incumbent, Doyle Vermette. McPhail is a Town of La Ronge Councilor and a member of the Lac La Ronge Indian band. He is also a tradesperson in Northern Saskatchewan, a husband, and a father.
“Our northern communities have so much potential. Despite that, they have been abandoned by this government. The time is now to build a province that leaves no one behind, no matter where in this beautiful province that you live,” McPhail said.
He is the 13th Saskatchewan NDP candidate nominated for the 2024 provincial election. The next nomination is coming up on July 15th and will be held in Moose Jaw Wakamow.
