A 30-year-old man will be in Meadow Lake Provincial Court Thursday after being arrested following a May 25 robbery near Pierceland.
Kelvin Crookedneck of Island Lake First Nation is charged with robbery with offensive weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and obstructing a police officer. At about 9 p.m. last Thursday, Pierceland R-C-M-P responded to a report of a robbery at a business on Highway 21 near Pierceland. Their investigation determined that a man, armed with a knife, entered the business and demanded cash. There were no injuries and the man fled on foot before being arrested by police.
