A break in the weather has allowed Provincial forest fire fighters to make progress on two fronts.

They hope to have the 21-hundred hectare Rally fire near Holbein contained in the next day or so.

Steve Roberts of the Ministry of Environment also says the better conditions helped prevent the 51-hundred hectare blaze in Meadow lake Provincial Park from jumping boundaries established by fire crews.

Meanwhile 200 people evacuated from Waterhen Lake started to return home this morning. About 25 people who could suffer adverse health effects from the smoke stayed in Saskatoon.

The Director of Operations of Emergency Management and Fire Safety warns a return to warm and dry conditions could mean the need for evacuations near any fire burning around Saskatchewan.
