Environment Canada’s Air Quality statement is still in effect, but the area has changed. It’s no longer affecting all but the far north. In Saskatchewan, it’s still in effect in the western half of the province and further south, but around Saskatoon is not included. Conditions are expected to gradually improve this afternoon and evening for southwestern portions of the province, but central areas directly downwind of the fires can expect this smoke to linger until Friday.
